Mrs. Tucker Service Will Be on Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Vodden Tucker, who died Friday morning, April 28, 1950, at the St. Mary's Hospital, will be held on Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. J. O. Valtinson, officiating. Interment will be in the Malta Cemetery.
Since 1934 Mrs. Tucker had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Henderson, 520 Leonard Ave. She was born in Devonshire, England, on August 14, 1864, the daughter of Henry and Mary Vodden. She came to the Malta community from England when she was 16 years of age.
She was married to William Tucker November 12, 1884, at Creston, the home being made in the Malta and Creston communities until coming to Dekalb in 1919. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one son, Albert Tucker; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Henderson of Dekalb and Mrs. Evelyn Henderson of Sycamore; 11 grandchildrenand four great-grandchildren. Her husband died June 21, 1934. She wasthe last survivor of a family of seven children.
